They had the T120 black and the red/white one. The black was beautiful tho i don't like the flat black exhaust at all. The red/white had chrome but the rest lesft me a bit cold looks wise. Tho both were gorgeous as far as build quality. And the instrument cluster if great ! I love the side by side speedo/tach like old school and really nicely done. They just reek of quality. Gimmie the black one with the other one's chrome exhaust and the street twin's mufflers and cast wheels and i'd be stoked. I know the 1200 is going to be a beast for it's size given the reviews on the street twin's 900cc. This means one thing to me....can't friggin wait to see the speedmaster ! If they come out with the 1200 speedy and it looks as good as the current ones (they had a '15 there and it was really really sweet) i will be helpless to resist.

It's funny you say that because a few weeks back i talked to a mechanic at thier shop about the new bonnies and he said the engine IS basically a smaller version of the Tbird engine ! But the great thing is, without the noise ! Everyone has said the same thing about them....dead quiet engine. All you hear is the exhaust, and i nice one at that from all reports.

the black and white one I saw was really nice, the bike has some very current features on it and should pull pretty good, its a nice looking scoot for sure.

I saw one today at my dealer, but just near it was a red Thruxton R, what a beautiful ride, I had a sit and was quite happy with the fit, most bikes in this size always feel cramped for me. It arrived last night to the dealer and while I was there a bloke walked in and bought it, no test ride. These bikes will sell themselves.

Mate I think RRP was around $22000, and judging by the interest I doubt if they will discount for a while.

I'm going to borrow a t120 for the day in the near future. Very much looking forward to it. Shame they're so physically small because I would have bought one instead of the Storm. I'm a largeish lump and Bonnies look like they're stuck up my ar5e crack.

You got that right. My dealer got the ST in a while back and in one week they sold both. And this from a very small dealer in a small town that usually seems to sell a triumph or 2 a month judging by how seldom I see thier inventory change. They sell ducati, moto guzi, aplrilla, and a few others and the ducati is where they really make thier living. I think starting now however they will be making a much better living ! These new models are really a big leap forward in many ways. I'm salivating at the thought of what the new speedmaster is going to be like. i hope it's not too far off.

Went to the unveiling of the new 1200 bonnie and 1200 Thruxton last night here in Christchurch...it was a good night with quite a few attending. It was held in a bar where they had a small stage setup with the bikes under cloaks. The big screen was pumping out Triumph video and sound in the lead up. When the cloak came off the Bonnie there was a good reception but I think it was louder when the Thruxton was exposed....it looked good in red and the new owner cranked it up to a loud applause.
All in all the Bonnie still looks like a Bonnie with a bigger motor. My thoughts are it should get up and go having basically the same chassis but obviously more grunt!...Nice!

Took a T120 out for a test run today. Fantastic little machine. Oodles of torque (as you'd expect) nippy and very manoeuvrable around town, plenty of poke once on the open road and just a pleasure to ride. Nice slick gear changes, unbelievably light clutch, two finger operation. Peashooter pipes sound delightful (never been much of a fan of peashooters). The instrument clusters very traditional looking (apart from the small LCD screens)and changing between modes (only 2 of road and rain) is just the flick of a switch.
Methinks Triumph may well be onto a winner with this little beauty.

I won't believe it until it has been officially denied.

Sounds good Colin and wouldn't mind one myself but worried I'm too big. Do you think I'd fit ? I remember feeling like a circus clown sitting on your Triple

Took the ThruxtonR out for a good ride the other day. Ticks a lot of boxes but if you want one then back order is around November.
Bad planning or clever marketing.

I'm sure it would ft you just fine Andy. Get yourself a test ride on one, I can assure you, you won't be disappointed.

Talking about the Street Triple, I work with a guy 6' 5" (not quite as well built as yourself) who swears that the Street Triple is built for people his size, he reckons it's the best machine ever built.
