Good find Lupo. Those are nice looking pipes. Naturally I'd like to see them without the Cat but that's easy enough to do and I may have to go back with a cat soon enough. Those are a good option. Looks like they are selling them at 675 euros a set which is not too high.

Thanks for posting this.

btw, anyone else interested, there isn't much info on the site but they do have this pdf

I think I'll buy a set of those, like them much more than the slash-cut versions from other companies. Its more oldstyle
and fit the Tbird a lot better............only my opinion.

Not bad. Better than many IMO. What i don't understand is why no one seems to like the way the stockers flare outwards. People seemed to like that on the old nortons, and i am one of them. So thats one reason i'm not too keen on any of the aftermarket ones....they all seem to bring them back in close to the bike. am i the only one that likes the stock look in regards to the outward angle?

I like the stock pipes but I prefered the sound of the shorter ones, but they still flare out and give the bike that wide badass look. The ones above look too thin IMO. Like the stock TBA pipes.

Well I wouldn't say that. Many people seem to like the stockers, those that don't swap out the pipes and those that go with the long TORs (to a lesser extend the shorties) I even like the stock ones, but for a completely different look than I'm going for. The stock pipes give a classy, relaxed Cadillac sort of look to the bike. Tucked in pipes give a more purposeful, aggressive feel and that was much more what I was after. These pipes throw in a nice dash of old school as well, which I like. I don't like how the remaining cat and the heat shields that appear to be rotated northward (but that might be the angle of the photo and not an actual change to the orientation)

It's one of the distinctive features (among many others) of the Tbird that made me buy one. But I guess I'm the only one who actually loves the sound of the stock pipes w/ cat.

I too like stock w/cat. But i've also been wanting to hear the stock pipes w/o cat since you've been touting that setup. I get the impression it sounds like the stock setup, just louder. And while i like quiet pipes, i would like a little more than stock but with the same TONE as stock. I feel the Tors sound more high pitched and harsh than the stock pipes, not a louder version of them. the stocks are deep but just a bit too quiet. problem is i don't wanna make them, have no welding gear even if i did, don't want to spend hundreds on then, and lastly i want to know which would be best. when i say which, i mean what shape, crossover or not, etc. there are a million possibilities and i think i just have to wait till the trail blazers try everything and we see what works best. that will likely be too long tho. So i'm sorta in limbo about the whole thing just like i am with that freakin tuneboy crap. I feel like by the time any of this gets sorted i'll either be ready for a new tbird or dead.

Why are you looking at going back to the cat Thatch?

Dont you currently have hogslayers on your bike? If so whats the drama?

I ask because I'm considering them myself.

Your wisdom would be much appreciated mate!

I'm sticking w/stock. I like quiet. I like flare. Under my multitec, I can hear each cyl. and not much else. Although weirdly,
I can hear conversation from random pedestrians, sometimes quite loudly. Someone mentioned the smells
of trees, grass, etc. while riding. How about conversation snatches? I couldn't hear that in an automobile. Startling. I think
they are talking to me...or is that megalomania...I forget.

Most here that have use the straight thru bypass like that have done it by getting a galvanzied 90 degree elbow at the hardware store for about $8 and cutting it in 1/2. Same result as in your second link but a good bit cheaper. Did that myself but i found myself not enjoying the ride after a while because it's so damn loud like that, Instead i am running a gutted cat. Much quieter but about 20% louder than short tors with a stock cat, and i can use a custom decat tune which gives nice power. But if you can stand loud, then that'll do fine even tho a $8 elbow will do the same thing. That ebay offering will last longer being stainless, but the elbows i would think should last many many years.

Bigbikelupo,

Those Rizoma mirrors you have fitted - do you happen to remember the model number? There are none specifically listed for the Bird on their website - I assume you found a set that fitted....did you HAVE To change grips as well, or just choose to?

Bike is looking sweet!

Good luck,

Look at original parts of triumph. there are mirrors in the same size. and original is original or not?
Look at your triumph-dealer, the most of them will be translation some of some mirrors.
They looks really nice, but in germany mirrors must have a spezial size. so i bought the mirrors of the thruxton. They have a very hight quality - top.
