Na, they;re air cooled. Look at the specs. Only the new 1200's are water. The 900's have a oil cooler, don't mistake that for a radiator.

Triumph's website thinks it's water-cooled:

"Behind the new 900 engines stylish exterior sits a cutting edge liquid-cooling system..."

Heres a shot of the bonnie that shows what looks like a combination of the new and old engine but also clearly shows the same oil cooler as they've always had. So i dunno whats going on, but i did just dream this all up. Other pics are all wacky. Some with radiator, some not, engine differences. No ideas WTF is going on

That's an 865cc Bonny, same as current model, I think.
T120 and T120 Black are 1200cc and do have radiators (and electronic throttle).

I was replying to Sennaista's suggestion that the 900's are now water cooled. It's hard to say with all the confusion in the website's data and pics.

I started out on an america.....I always said that if they had an america over 1100 cc with 6 speed that's what I really want (but they didn't - so, I moved up to a bird) - maybe I'll get my wish in a year or two.....!

Daz, that's the old bike. This is the new 900. And what is in front of the engine is clearly a water radiator, not the old oil-cooler.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the whole triumph line is going to be water cooled due to emission regs. The only hold out according to Triumph
's website is the 2016 Scrambler which is gong to keep the old engine for the time being.

Yeah, i've seen that and other pics that make it that much more confusing. But the bonnie it has the different cooling fins and header clamps like the new engine yet an oil cooler. Then theres the spec that says "air cooled". They may have a mix of old engine and new and possibly the old one but with changes. So the jury is out on all of this for me at least till they fix the site to reflect reality.

The America and Speedmaster will still be the air cooled 865 too, according to the article on Motorcycle.com review Link
Biggest problem with these new ones is the RBW, (ride by wire) replacing the incredibly simple throttle cable with a (something else to break) electronic throttle. I'd never buy one because of that one feature.

The ride may be fun, but in the Great Scheme of things, it really is about the destination! John 3:16

The tell on the new engines is the valve cover. It's longer and flatter. On the old engine the cover is more rounded.

Yeah, i'm thinking that bonnie is the old one, tho i never saw one like that with the finned clamps and the different fins. They really need to fix all that stuff tho including the reference to the air cooling in the specs. As to that street twin, if that had the 1200 engine and a nicer paint job like one in particular thats on the site, i might just go there in the next few years. i really like that bike tho i think the paint looks like %$#@. I wish they'd do away with the seams too like they did on the Tbrid. But that bike is really growing one me. It's got cast wheels even if not in the size i'd hoped for, but that and the overall look is really growing on me. A few minor changes and one big one (1200 instead of 900)and i'd be all over that bike.

If they really are the same engines, Triumph might decide to offer a "big bore kit" somewhere down the road.

If you want to see and ugly ass paint job, look at the 2016 Commander in Lithium Flame/Frozen silver. Is Lithium even a color? Where do they come up with this shit?

Thruxton 1200R may retail here for around $24000 on road, 100bhp is going to give it some power to weight giddy up.

I was at a bike show on Friday ... just happened to be booking a test ride on an Ariel Ace ... The MD and the frame producer both agreed that the Thruxton was a bike that Triumph needed to build. They also reckoned that it'd probably mess up further Norton's woeful approach to releasing bikes in a timely and cost effective way.
