Wife and i are going on a 1 week trip in July, we do not travel allot together so my bags have always been simple and for me alone. I was thinking a big rain proof roll bag or something but with enough room for two people and a weeks worth of cloths and stuff (more her than me) LOL. Also needs to sit on the sissy bar rack ( i was thinking of making a small wood shelf to make it a bit bigger) as a result of the space lost with the sissy bar bend.

Any idea's suggestions? thanks.

You'll also need a trailer with a shoe rack mounted on it. A week? Hell my wife can pack more clothes for 15 min. Than my truck can carry.

I have used the Iron rider bags from Dowco for years. You can stack them as high as you need to on your luggage rack. I've used them for 4 days trips all the way to a two week trip to AZ.

If the wife is not a very big person..... you can reverse the sissy bar and the cushion pad.
Gives a smaller person better support and also gives more room on the rack

We use this bag with straps that criss-cross over the back rest. The setup in the pic is for a two week trip. Got my wife to think differently when packing for bike trip. (after some years of ... well bribery)
