I rode 40 miles in a modest rain and the only thing that was really wet was the lower part of my jeans, from just above the boot to the knee area. Probably it was water kicked up by the front tire. Made me wonder if anyone sells an extension for the front fender, that would fit onto the back of the fender, to block water from coming right off the tire onto the rider's legs.

Thanks. Just looked it up and emailed the manufacturer to find out the current price in U.S. dollars including shipment to my location. Looks like it would help keep me dry, and the bike a bit cleaner when the roads are wet and dirty.

You still get wet with a fenda extenda but the radiator will be more protected and it fitted very easily using urethane adhesive.

If your riding solo, using the pillion pegs will also help to reduce the water on the lower legs.

I purchased one of these off of Ebay Fenda Extenda and it fit like crap. I spent the better part of a couple of hours with a dremel and test fitting numerous times.
Get some good quality two sided tape as what can with it sucked as well.
It's mounted, looks a bit odd, helps a little. That's my take on it.

I appreciate the comments. I probably won't buy one, especially if its likely that I would have trouble getting it to fit correctly on the front fender. I haven't heard back from the manufacturer in the UK yet, and while All Things Triumph has one for the America, apparently they don't have an extender specifically for the T-bird.

Yes they do.
I think for memory mine was off a Thunderbird 900 ??
I actually fastened mine on with some stainless Screw and Nuts and sealed it properly with some sikaflex the next time I had the front wheel off for a tyre change.

Hope this helps. Plenty of the members have fitted them.

Jeez you went and drilled the fender ... brave man. I've always just stuck mine on with high quality two part epoxy adhesive.

I saw 2 of them come unstuck coz the inside of the guard was not prepped right. So I was Bloody sure mine wasn't going to decorate the bitumen. + Polished Stainless bolts don't look out of place.
