Just done a 550 km ride today with losta beautiful corners, lotsa straight bits and some awesome coastal riding. I think some highway pegs would help as I am fairly long in the leg. My knees sit around the triumph badge on the tank. I don't want forward controls cos I don't want pressure on my spine but would like to hang my legs forward when possible to lay back and cruise. Is there somewhere I can find pegs that will attach to the chassis rather than having a protection bar/pegs?...cheers Tal

Found these mounts and pegs....might have to manufacture an extension to bring them out far enough with a small twist to level them out...should work tho I think...

Yes I will put some pictures up when its all done...I don't like the idea of crash bars either...hoping these will fit between the radiator in the small gap there..if the pegs need altering (maybe come out further or a slight alteration to clear exhaust) there is box section leading to the pegs, I will have new ones made, the same but longer. Should be sweet!..Might take a few weeks to arrive tho apparently. The pegs match my handlebar grips with the anti vibration rubber inserts so cant wait to see them on my scooter!..

Mmmm I did a similar thing on a HD I had years ago and had heaps of problems with brackets breaking at the frame. There was to much leverage I reckon on the bars hanging out so wide when you placed your feet on them. That is why I went with the crash bar option. Anyway it might be all OK with the set up you propose. Can't wait to see the final pictures and review. Good luck

Thanx for that ...I will try to take that into consideration when putting it all together...a bit beefier around the clamp /peg area might help then?...cheers for that,

Got the clamps and pegs in the mail and have an engineer making an extension in the form of an "S" made from 1inch tube. Will have them powder coated to match the bike...looking good so far, fingers crossed! Will post photos when all done.

Here are the finished highway pegs after my pet engineer has altered a few things and had them powder coated, just some minor positioning and everything should be "Tickety boo"

Barks....the frame is 1 1/2 inch so you gotta have something that will fit that...a 3 piece clamp is best as its difficult to get in there with the fan housing being so close.

The position I have them suits my long legs as I hang my ankle over and let my foot fall "out", I can flick them up with my boot while moving when I tired of that.
Gotta say it was worth the effort even if I only use them on long rides, just gets your legs into stretch mode for a while and helps the arse muscles..
