Well, I'm referring to my 2010 Thunderbird 1700 which I bought brand new back then. (The wife is a keeper too, unless I ever want to lost 50% of my stuff in court ) lol My bike now has 4,000 miles & today I rode from my house in North Jersey up to Bear Mtn NY, my wife met me up their in the Car (It was chilly riding today, well for her anyway) After we went to the Barnstormer BBQ restaurant for great food. I live about 1 1/2 from there. My bike is Blue/White and it is the BEST bike I've ever owned, it is just a high quality, refined bike. It gets looks & folks always check it out when parked. The bike runs flawlessly, the engine just hums along & it shifts like a hot knife thru butter. Mine is stock & I think I will keep it that way. My other bikes right now is an 83' GS1100ED & 2008 Suzuki Bking with a few aftermarket goodies. Quite honestly I always prefer the Tbird, the Bking is a rocket, especially with the timing eliminator kit, K&N filter and Two Brothers CF exhaust, its also loud. At the age of nearly 48 now I find myself slowing down, thats not a bad thing either. The Tbird fits my riding style now & I'm glad I bought it in 2010, there were others but I did my homework, read numerous reviews, comparisons & nothing came close. Yea there was victory & Harley but their BASE PRICE for certain bikes (non ABS, 5 spd) was the same as a 1700 Tbird with ABS & 6 speed. Plus who could not love that deep blue with white stripe?
The best part? Mine is paid off & I have the Title! BE SAFE OUT THERE!

I know how you feel. I'm about at 30k and still as i rode it today i was constantly thinking how great it feels, how quick and powerful and just refined as you say. 4 years and 30000 miles later and i feel even MORE excited about it then when i first got it. Thats pretty impressive. the weather here is hot right now and I'm looking forward to riding to work tomorrow. Normally it's like a 20 minute death march, but riding in makes it more like a parade. Best bike on the planet IMO.

Yep, I have to agree . Went to Leesburg bike fest Sat. and today. Rows and rows of Harleys, some nice but none I would trade the bird for. Also on a side note after 30 years I finally got to see the band "The Outlaws" play live at the show, They are a southern rock band from the mid seventies and they were awesome "Green grass and high tides forever".

I actually have green grass and HTF on my HD. Don't forget.....i'm a geezer and that was my heyday musically. Actually long before that even, back to the 1st beatles LP. In any case, that outlaws tune was a huge hit. Damn song gotta be a good 8 or 10 minutes long too !

TVL65 - I'm only a bit north of you...okay, a 2hr bit. Take a look at the events page...Bennington Triumph Bash the last weekend of May. If you can't make it there, we gotta link up this summer, maybe around Newburgh, NY and cruise around the Catskills!!!

Safe riding!!

Jamie

Well, it's much longer and better live . I'm only 49 but I've been a fan since my brother brought home their debut album in 75. I also did this when the White album came out but sadly I was much younger and I trashed it .

Every day is bike day now.
The journey to and from work seems to be taking approximately 30-40 minutes each day, waking up sleepy villages as I pass through.
Weekly fuel cost seems to have increased considerably. Can't figure why
I only live 4 miles from work

If only I had a bigger garage
