I am looking for some ideas to secure valuables in my saddle bags. I have a 2010 T-Bird SE with leather bags. I recently installed a GPS unit, and I want to find a way to lock it away when I make stops on my route. I was considering a small strong box, or desk safe, bolted to the inside of the bag. I see that Harley has a "console vault" for certain models, but they all have hard bags. Plus, it is listed at about $270.00 and I have no idea if it would fit a Triumph. Has anyone adapted a security feature to their bag(s)?

How hard can it be? It's not rocket surgery.

I have an SE also. No locks on the bags yet, but my friend has something like these on his bike. he seems to like them, so I might pull the trigger and try them. Here is the link.

I'm quite sure a search at a local shop or eBay would reveal a small lockable box that could be bolted inside the bags. It's a good idea and I may look into this as well. If I find something I will let you know.
