I do have a notification that there is a package for me at the post office though.... of course every time I get one of those and rush to retrieve the shipment, it turns out to be another pair of shoes my wife has bought....
But eventually, it's got to be THE one... right?

A frightening thought indeed.... but then again, i look damn good in a skirt.
OK, so here is a 'tease' of sorts. I did an exhaust comparison that shows part of the bike (though not enough to make out much) just wanted to grab the sound difference and thought i I'd let folks know about it on this thread as the next step in my journey towards 'done'..... for now.

Arrgh ... (I wasn't phrasing that naively enough)
Anyway, I think that they will look good with the CBird. But definitively, I still have a problem to fit the pads for Mrs without melting her shoes. Do you have an indication of the max diameter of those pipes (just before the cone)?

I think BC dropped the ball on the heat shields. I plan on having a set made up if I can find someone willing and able to around here.
Initial thoughts on the Predators themselves is very positive though.

thanks a lot !
(too bad you did not take a picture... )
but 31.75 diameter looks a bit, how to say? huge ... knowing that the pulley is around 31
Probably you took the perimeter and that looks more reasonable giving 10.1 cm.

As I sit here, the bike fully painted and put back together, but waiting on a couple key components from the long suffering Fast Eddy, I have this rather constant conflict of, wanting to show off what I've gotten done, and wanting to keep things back for the 'big reveal'. For me personally that's been an ongoing question, but it then blurs with the greater question of 'when am I done?' Even once I put these last bits on do I truly think I'll be 'done', that I'll have nothing more to add? Are there phases or steps to a bike that are then finished or is it constantly an organic flow from one stage to the next? Or, (and I'm leaning heavily towards this answer) did I get into the gin and tonics significantly too early in the day and am just making up esoteric questions to ponder? Regardless, it beats talking about warranties and car tires....
So do you have a point in mind when your bike will be 'done'? Do you reveal all as soon as you add the next do-hickey, snapping a picture and popping it online or do you wait for the elusive 'done'? |
|
After a short preponderance of the evidence, the jury submits a definite NEVER , as the verdict. Especially with 3 Triumphs in the garage and so many accessories at my beck and call!

Ditto... 5 on road, 1 to be repaired and 2 long term projects. I'd say as soon as their on the road they're done. From that point on its just tweeking. Some tweeking major and essential, other minor but necessary.. At least thats what I tell my wife.
