and what a sweeeeet sound.
Louder than standard cans, not too loud, but what a fantastic tone.

I'm not sure about the extra power, seems like the engine picks up a bit quicker, more response on the throttle and not so sudden dropping off at the top of the rev range. Might just be the psychological effect of sounding faster but I'd say there is a bit of improvement.

No sign of the saddlebags getting any warmer than before but I haven't done any long trips.

The mid sized screen works much better for me, I'm now looking just over the screen but no great air pressure on my head. I can feel the wind in my eyes so it will have to be visor down for long trips. There won't be two layers of rain drops any more in the wet though so that's a plus. Though leaning forward a bit puts me in the lee of the screen so in really bad weather I can still get a bit more protection if required. The screen looks better than the larger one and makes the front end cleaner lines. One daft thing, I'd have thought that you would get the metalwork with the screen so you could swap from one to the other, at least the bits attached to the perspex screen, but you only get the screen. So you can't switch from one to the other without buying another fitting kit, or switching the brackets every time.

Put on the front and back engine bars too, more for peace of mind than looks, but they look pretty good too.

I'll get some pictures when I get back from work in a couple of weeks.

Good choice of pipes Steve, I have the short TORs, Hi flow filter and tune and think it's a great system. I love the sound of a Hog but unfortunatly you cannot escape the sound which to me is kind of missing something as the only people who can apreciate teh sound properly are others. With the TORs I can live with the sound all the time, not sure about any power difference as I have had them from new.

I was wondering that, is it worth getting the hi flow filter? Would that mean using a different tune?

Dealer included free fitting when I bought the bits and put in the new tune, I'd assume the Triumph TOR one. I got the impression that there are others out there for that set up.

Anybody got any experience of running with/without filter?

Can't help on that one, I just had it all done when I bought the bike as an all in deal so I don't know what it's like without the filter. I am sure there are a number of other post on the site to help though.

yes
I started with the stock 1600, tor pipes made a difference and i altered the map to the tor tune, used tuneecu ( free ). then put in the ff filter, uses the same tune and did breath easier
if you have the tors its worth getting the ff filter, however there are slightly cheaper alternatives to the triumph one,

it did take a run to settle in though. (adapt)

Thanks Zolti. Dealer did a remap, so it will be the Triumph TOR tune. If that works I can just get a high flow filter to open up the air intake with the same tune. I've got the tuneECU and the lead but never had cause to use it yet. Did you take off the bit under the seat too? I've read it makes a difference.

How's sunny Newcastle? Gonna be back up home this weekend but unfortunately in the car as I'm coming straight from work, my youngest son's 14th so I have to come up and treat him.

Agreed. Let her breath, you'll feel it in highway passing situations, the filter / pipe combo helps a lot up there.
