Welcome here Tony, I dare say we'll meet up at one of the south coast do's one of these days.

You say your bird is red & black, hope you can get the red bits sprayed black soon because, as everyone knows, black IS the fastest colour

Unfortunately May's a bad month for me workwise as my boss is away and I need to keep a handle on things. But we'll meet up somewhere for sure.

Us Yanks call them semis or tractor trailers. But we won't hold calling a truck a lorry against you... welcome aboard mate.

One more aussie tbird rider on the books
Picked up my 2010 tbird a little over a week ago and loving it.
I've had the same 1974 Sporty for the last 20 years. Finally decided to go new school.
Still having trouble with the gear lever on the wrong side, probably a left brain thing.
Anyway greetings all
Cheers Peter

Good choice Peter.
Is the Sporty going into mothballs & do you get bored riding along The Esplanade all day?

Heated grips, heated seats, electric screen...etc...etc..

Welcome Peter, you will find this bike a bit more refined than your old iron head.

Thanks for the welcome
The old sporty needs open heart surgery and major cosmetics
which becomes a "roundtoit"
Ill get round to it when I have the time and money.
So she lives in the shed out the back for now.
As to The Esplanade I am petitioning to have a road built all the way around the island
so I dont have to do a U turn every kilometer
It seems google maps is everwhere
Cheers

Thanks for that
Im not holding my breath on either happening
as it happens I dont mind living on an island I'd rather not become a suburb
I can at least still sit on a beach and have a beer or 7 with out plod getting bitter & twisted
the treadly has a nice secure home in australia
so all is good

Mate where you are is a beautifull part of the bay, just taking the piss

When the bridge thing was news I thought it was a rediculous proposal for all sorts of reasons.

Glad to hear that the new tyres behaved mate. Good to meet you as well

The belt issue continues, I'm just waiting to see what my dealer comes back with before I mention it here. I'm going to have a good look in the service manual today, especially since it's raining.
