The original article is here...

with the google translated version here..

In general it was very positive, seemingly without the ridiculous influence of advertising on the editorials like certain recent Cruiser magazines ....

Thanks for posting this. If only I were an expert in Google 'translatese' (or knew even a smidgen of German), I might have made it further through the article
An example-
"The headlights made a plan to guarantee. Shortly before the end of the test needed a new steering lock, also under warranty. It sits right on the steering head is fiddly to operate via a separate key."
If MY headlights ever start making plans on their own, the 'Bird is history as far as I'm concerned

The test bike that the Magazine was using went about 30,000 miles and got hit. The driver suffered a fractured ankle and the bike started to suffer from a loud noise that turned out to be a broken "intake manifold bracket" that got into the cylinder head. I'm trying to read if this was due to the accident or what the f?
The engine was rebuilt and they say that it still looked like new with only a 4% loss of compression. Some issue with the "plastic rail of the timing chain"
° The throttle cable broke at 12,000 miles and there were no tools to do repairs ° There were issues with the drive belt making noise and it was replace at 27,000 miles ° The author was very happy with 6200 mile rear tire life! ? 4 sets of rear brake pads and 2 front pads ? early on there was a coolant leak and replacement of a hose ? the headlight assembly split and it was replaced under warranty
It wasn't a perfect bike but they seem to like it and it gave me some ideas like it's not a bad idea to carry tools and a throttle cable.
Thanks for the link. It was not your usual this bike review like in Motorcycle Cruiser where they all are just peachy.
