Well, I voted. But even without my vote, Triumph is looking pretty good there. But Harley...

Matter of opinions. I sold my Bird and I'm planning on buying a Harley. I'm well aware that Harleys may not be as of high quality as Triumphs, but it really doesn't bother me. One things for sure; I'm not going to buy a Honda.

Being a Statistical consultant of sorts, can I say just how useless of a poll that is? ....

I don't even know what the quality of Triumphs are like in 2012 much less Aprilia or Husqvarna. They were pretty good in 2009, but better than Honda or MV Agusta? I don't freakin' know. I do know I bought what I wanted and answered the poll with what I currently own if that gives you any idea of how valuable the results of this poll is.

The Harley results are a bit interesting though. It says more about the readership of MCN than any issue with reliability of course but even that is interesting.

As for what's wrong with Hondas. Nothing. Honda bikes are just like Honda cars, reliable to a fault.... and soulless. (and plastic)

Correct, the poll provides the answer to the following question...

What Bike Brand do MCN Reader Ride (or would like to ride)?

Obviously not Harley.

Like with most MCN articles, lacks depth take it for what it is, a small step up from the Beano. I voted anyway in the absence of Lambretta I voted for Triumph

Nothing wrong with my tbird. Need change and want to buy a cheaper bike. No Japanese bikes for me for no special reason exept that Japanese bikes are not allowed in the club I'm in.

Well, I've voted Triumph but perhaps out of misguided loyalty. My previous bike a CBF1000 was fantastically reliable, whereas I've had nothing but trouble with the T-Bird. Oh well, things can only get better and the T-Bird (despite my problems) is just a bike to love and the CBF was more reliable functionality.

But the last time I checked Harleys are not cheap. As a matter of fact I have never seen a cheap HD. HD's Wide Glide, which is comparable to the Bird is $15,500 and the Bird is $13,800. The HD is nearly $2,000 more expensive.

Harley quality is good. Their fit and finsh is excellent. It's their engineering that comes into question. If you want a 1940s bike with a bunch of Japanese stuff stuck on to try and make it seem better, go for it. Contrary to what they say, the only truly American made bike is the Victory.

Okey, I should've said; I'll buy an old bike 'cause they are cheaper. Don't want comparable to the tbird and was thinking of buying 1998 softail fatboy. Saves me couple of grand (in euros not dollars). From what I've read the evo engine should be ok? From power point of view it's like going back to mopeds but I'm ok with that.
