You might try NADA website

Never mind NADA only lists the 1600 not the 1700

The BB kit is a $2k+ addition to the bike. I'd guess on resale it's probably worth a $1k bump in value.

CycleTrader seems to have used 2010s around $10K...with the comparitively uncommon red haze and the stock 1700 (at least here in the U.S.), I'd think you'd be in the neighborhood of $11,000.

Thanks,
I can make an educated guess,
But does anybody really know .
I mean, what would a dealer base the trade in value on if there is no information available.
The bike had a sticker price of 14890 now of course I didn't pay that much but do these bikes lose a third of their value in one year?
I know the dealer trade is probably that low but retail has to be more than a base 1600 plus $1000.
This bike is a factory custom not a base bike that some junior mechanic wrenched on and sprayed a wacky paint job on.

Keep in mind, though, that the figure that Thatch and I quoted (around $10K + premium of ? ($1k?)) is for private-party or commercial retail...if you're asking about trade-in value you'll be lucky to get 2/3 of that. Kelly Blue Book shows a trade-in value for a 2010 Thunderbird ABS at $7330. With discounted/trade-in premium for the haze and extra 100cc, you're probably looking in the neighborhood of $8000.

I have a 2010 1600 with accessories... the wholesale dealer book value was a touch over $6000.00 Canadian.

with a retail value of 12000.00

which is what they are going for here.

I paid $11,500 last month for a 2010 with 1,800 miles, a big bore kit and $6,000 worth of Triumph accessories.

I don't know how or when I'll die, just that someone will be holding my beer for me when I do.

Thanks to all that replied.
It confirms that there is no real data out
There, obviously because so few have been resold.
Now we all have a educated idea what similar bikes are
Selling for,but I still wish there was specific data on this model.
In my very humble opinion, now matter how many accessories, how
Many performance upgrades and new popular paint trends (think flat black)
There is nothing that says Thunderbird better than a stock 1700 in phantom haze red!

trdutch,

Thunderbird resale comes under the law of small numbers, i.e., it is very unpredictable. You get a guy that is hot to buy and likes the phantom haze, you'll likely do well. However, you might not find any buyers at anyone time.

It's like trying to predict sales in a software company that sells small volumes of expensive software (my market). One month you might sell three systems and then not sell any for a few months...
