I've fitted the gear side easy enough (the real PITA is trying to push those little rubber stoppers through !! aaarggh ) but ... the instructions for the brake side wants you to drain the brake fluid and piss about replacing washers etc.. but each time I read it over and look at the bike and the parts I can't see the point in draining the fluid out, ..... is it a bit like always disconnect the battery before doing abso -bloody -lutely anything on the bike like it has for all the instructions ???
Any one done this mod themselves and got any good advice ?
Thanks
John

I fitted mine WITHOUT disconnecting the brake line, it was very fidgety and needed three hands a couple of times, but had them both fitted in 40 minutes or so!!

You however have to take the rear master cylinder from its mount so you can get to the bolts that hold the pegs on. There is enough play in the brake line to move the master cylinder around but be careful no to crimp the brake line.
