In refitting my front wheel I noticed that the long trip through, in and around the alps last year ate up my brand new pads pretty quickly and I need a new set. Last set I had fitted by the local shop since they were already mounting new tires. No need to have it into the shop this time so I'd like to find a good source for the pads online.

So, who knows the best place to source the brake pads from? (might as well do front and rear while I'm at it)

thanks

If that's the case your best source for brake pads is your local dealer assuming they have them in stock, you can pick them up today, put your bike back togeather and post some pictures... what are you waiting for? Now get going

Fast Eddy ebc HH sintered pads. I know he is dealing with his wife right now so another avenue might get you the pads quicker but these pads work great!! Link

Thanks corner. I looked on his site under tbird brakes but didn't see these. I can hold off long enough to get them from him. Besides he's got some stuff to ship out to me soon anyway.

Motorcycle Road and Race, located right in the UK,is the cheapest place I've found for brake pads, and they are EBC pads.If I remember correctly, the rears were somethin like E12 a set and the fronts are E40.91 a set which I know for a fact cause I just checked. And since you're already over seas Thatch, shipping costs should even be less.So check em out.

When I first bought these pads a year and a half ago from Motorcycle Road and Race, the fronts: EBC#FA236HH were only E34.09 a set, and the rears:EBC#FA209/2 were only E12.12 a set, plus E17.00 for shippin from there to here.[I know this cause I just looked at my receipt] But as you can see,and like everything else, things have gone up since then, but NO WHERES NEAR what the thieving STEALERS are charging for em. Dave!!!

Have to look under thunderbird1600/Storm label. They are not located under the thunderbird label. He has divided Thunderbird and Thunderbird 1600 into two distinct categories. Hit the link in my previous post. it goes to the correct page.

You guys realize that encouraging Thatch to mail order his pads means we all wait longer to see his custom paint job. Normally I'd buy them from Eddy, but given the situation I think a little peer pressure to push Thatch into assembling his bike and take some pictures is in order.

Oh common man, all good things come to those who wait (us). Plus I can rub it in that I had my scooter all ripped apart and put back together in two months... All kidding aside, lets see the damn tins already!!!! You (Thatch) are worse than a prom date showing her knickers but wont let you see the final goods... quit being a two drink tease...

You've not even bought me a drink yet... can't expect a girl to drop her knickers before she's even had one drink now do you? What kind of a .... um... .. who do you think I am?

All in good time. It's together but I've got to get a bit or two put on it first before she's ready for her reveal. You guys don't even let me get away with the most off handed reference without going to the tins .... It will be a sad day if you all hate it after all this unintended build up.

Yeah, I think so. I spent a good portion of my career as a designer though so I'm the sort that could find fault with the mona lisa. I know I always second guess these sort of decisions. It's only after I've lived with something a while that I know I did alright with it. The last two significant mods I have to do 'should' tie it all together. After that I'll know what I think about it.
