Can anyone recommend a supplier for a new headlight glass to replace the stone cracked one on my bike? The local dealer wanted nearly £150 - I thought this was excessive!

Just a thought... wouldn't your bike insurance cover it? Seems that would fall under the same category as a cracked windshield with the car.

Yeah, but if you've got a couple of hundred quid excess on your policy, you're buggered.

PM Mat1600 he might be able to help you (or Sean come to think of it). They have both replaced their headlamps with the bigger America/Speedmaster unit.

btw welcome to the forum - another one of Robin Hood's merry men on the forum.

They are a stupid price but there is an alternative if you are prepared to us a non Triumph unit, ebay has many light units that might fit or you could even replace the whole unit for £50 with a bates type single mount. Might be worth a look.

Mick . . . Keep the rubber side down!!

Sorry about the lamp. Tis a bugger when that happens.

On a more social note Grandad331, have you noticed the Ride Out being planned for March 17th by Oak, also Nottingham way.
Come out and join us, we've quite a gathering for so early in the year touring around the Peak District.

I'm sure you'll be made welcome by all.

Regards

If only I had a bigger garage

Thanks SeanS, mjgt, BlueNose, Sensiblepete, et al.

Having spoke to a parts supplier this afternoon she reckoned I wouldnt get one for uk use - the only ones available are from triumph or a breaker. So it looks like ebay @ £100 or convert. Convert looks like a nice little project in these dark cold nights.

Cant make the Saturday night pup but would want to join in the Sunday run out. I'll keep an eye out for further details.
