Sorry missunderstanding. This one isn't mine, just one that is my inspiration for a project bike.

As much as I love the Thunderbird, I just think the T300 series lump is special and the sound from a triple quite unique. A signature sound from an engine that formed the re-birth of this brand that we are so proud.

Mine hasn't got so far, but hopefully through this year it will get closer to launch.

Here's my contribution:The Suzuki vs800 engine.

I think their design team did a nice job with this V-twin. The vs1400 is just as pretty IMO, but I don't have as nice a picture of one.

Yup, still not it's best side, but at least the older ones seemed to have a crispness to the cover, that coupled with the inserts/access it comes off much better than the new one.

Granted, it's a small thing and if I had room (read that as money) to have my collection of 5-6 must have motorcycles (the 'want to have' list is much longer) The new Norton would still be in that first group. It just hits me as a wart on a pretty girls face. It's distracting since the rest of the bike is so nice.

Your right about the ugly left side of the new norton, but if the rear of the left engine caseings were blacked out it would 'look' pretty normal from a distance - certainly worth doing if thats the only thing holding you back. And yes this is in my top two.
