When I got home I installed the triumph originals and inspected the IKON ....sure enough it has a bent shaft, has anyone else managed to bend a rear IKON .Chewed out the top eyelet mounting rubber. The bike still handled well ,don't know how the way I ride???. Have rang the manufacturers in Albury and I have to post it down to be assessed and quoted on for rebuild. cheers steve

They said it had to be put on the Shockie Dyno to see what was going wrong, anyway and I had to send em both back and they did a complete overhaul on both of them . cant remember the exact price but it wasn't cheap. they did return all the old parts that they changed out. Ask them for a repair price or will it be covered by Warranty.

Maybe 5000 at the most with the dampening, The first time I found the lack of dampening scenario in the one shockie was when I was mucking around with the different springs, Then when we were up in the Gulf country I was adjusting the the ride tension when the LHS Shockie just turned off the bush instead of the spring tensioner ratcheting up, that was most probably at about the 15,000 mark. Geoff (at Ikon) told me that it was NOT uncommon to feel dampening ONLY in one direction in a Shockie, I said yes ok, BUT why only in one shockie, the other one had dampening in both directions. That when I sent them down and they overhauled them. When I got the back I slipped the springs off and checked and they both had dampening in bot directions.

bit of bad luck mate....do what I did,, go out and get the LT..the suspension on the thing is far far superior than the old model (2010) went up for a fang on my old favourite track up our way and it is a completely different bike...Allowing for being new,, the old one never absorbed the bumps as well as this one does...Triumph said that the suspension had been updated(if ya want to believe them)but it is a completely different handling bike and I am nothing but happy with it greg :
