FYI, I didn't have that little ole 1600 before, I had a 1700.

But getting back to the SM,even though the SM you have is for an older year and or model Tbird,it still should be helpfull regarding assembly and torque specs for a later model Tbird.Follow me? That's why I said the older SM can still be helpfull when working on the newer Tbird. Now "IF" I were to go out tomorrow and buy a brandy new 2015 or 2016 LT,I would still refer to my 2010 SM because there will be many things in it that are the same, especially on reassembly and torque specs.Do you understand what I'm TRYING to say??? But if I discovered that everything was different between the older model and the newer model,THEN,I would have to buy a new SM for that specific model.

I wouldn't say that. Maybe a pretty high % but probably not real close to 99, as the commander and LT models have an entirely different frames and exhaust and likely many of the related components. Engine alone....probably close to 99%.

| | Posted : 29 Oct 2015 - 01:09 Post title : Re: Service manual (Re: Hornet) | | | My point was that the SM,which was the topic of this post, could be very use full, even if it doesn't pertain to the newer or redesigned model of the same machine.Regarding parts,it has also been my experience that many of the parts from an older model machine, were interchangeable with the newer model of the same machine. And that's all I was tryin to point out. Ca pishe??? I probably worded my original response incorrectly.Remember???? I'm not that bright!
