I'm pretty sure it was hit by the same car that I parked the bike to it's left when I arrived. I made sure to leave as much distance between the rear of that car and the bike as possible - must have been a meter. They still managed to back into my bike. It was sitting on the right-hand muffler, which is now dented. The right-hand side panel is also scratched - I guess that's where they hit it. Did they leave a note? Of course they didn't!
I polished the scratch and it's not that visible but it totally ruined my night and my sleep. I was having nightmares about arguing with my insurance all night.
I will have to change that muffler though.

But the driver's gender is unknown...could've been a little old lady hard of hearing, she may of thought nothing of it but an exhaust backfire (sounds like lawyer talk).

I'm running the short tors. It's dented right at the end. In a way I'm glad it decided to sit up on the muffler. Being close to the curb, it could have easily been the rear mudguard and/or the light.

That's not the point though is it. It's all about the fact that so, so many people are only interested in their own little world that nothing outside of it is of interest or seemingly, matters. Respect and thought for others ... basic manners, a level of common decency, a nod to good moral standing ... where's it all gone? 
I hear that business about the 'little ol' lady', but hey ... if your gonna drive at least recognise your weaknesses. Spacial awareness is key to well being and life generally ... if people have problems getting to grips with it they certainly shouldn't be driving. We all make mistakes, we do ... but running away from our responsibilities and liabilities is just wrong.

Can't fault any of that. I've been involved in a few incidents on the road, both car and motorcycles, and have always accepted fault if it was my responsibility. On one occasion I was hit from behind on a different motorcycle and the other party legged it while I was struggling to lift the bike up and out of the way. And on another occasion, somebody reversed into my car at a junction, then claimed I had hit him from behind when I got out of the car!
It seems to me most people would rather screw you and leave you there.
