Hit something on the way to work in the dark doing about 80 on the freeway at 6 AM and it sliced my recently installed rear dunlop leaving me stranded in the dark with cars whizzing by me. $150 tow and $50 to overnite a tire because friday is the only day i will have to install it due to that toxic bitch i sublet from. (at least till the end of next month) Everything in my life is going straight to hell lately, but i was happy to find the huge tubeless rear tire with such a solid carcass stays relatively stable even with no air. It was dead flat when i got over and stopped. What a fucking day.

Yip. That is shit happening. You can do without that sort of shit even if things are going ok.

I got a blowout about 3 miles from home - rode home on a flat (with pillion), the tyre held ok, bit spongy on the handling but could have ridden longer with no damage to the rim.

Hope things start to pull right for you soon.

I prefer to look at the glass is half full daz, you were able to pull over safely and you did not get hit or hit the concrete. I should think that would make for a pretty decent day!

My AAA insurance agent insisted that I needed one o'their $65/year roadside assistance cards. In fact, he sprang for it. Saved my bacon when I had my little, uh, incident last summer. Bike went on a Jerr-Dan for the 100-mile trip home. Highly recommend it, especially when a broken cable or dead battery on these bikes can ruin your trip. Kept the CHP at bay, too. Don't need insurance with AAA to get one, and $65/year is a small price for the help it offers.

Meanwhile, hope the changes you're going thru are for the better.
