Wow that's not too shabby for an old bloke. That's inspired me to ride mine a bit more. It'd take me more than a hundred years to reach that level at the rate I'm stacking miles on the T/Bird.

It's really quite easy to accumulate that kind of mileage if you really enjoy riding and wanna ride, and these days, that's what I live for. Then the mileage comes natural.Remember,my last machine had 200,000 miles on it after owning it for 11 years,[and I was still workin] so I'm pretty close to bein on track with this machine.Everyone keeps askin me if I think I'll hit the century mark before the end of the year.Well,if the weather co operates and the honey do list shrinks, I might get close since the three best riding months of the year around here are Sept,Oct.,and November. And then,"IF" we don't have any snow, well,it'll be close, but I'm not holdin my breath. As soon as the dealers News Letter comes out and is e mailed to me,I'll forward it to someone on here so they can post a pic of the odometer reading along with some asshole standin next to the machine!!

And BTW: It's NOT my birthday even though it feels like I'm pushin the century mark on that too.

Good on ya, Dave old mate, goes to show that the 'Bird is a well made machine & you maintain it well !!
90k miles is a good effort, so I guess 180k miles will be possible for us that run the good oil (full synthetic), eh ?

Guido & ride safe

You can run whatever oil you want cause it's your bike. But I do things alittle differently.I have been and will continue, to run that inferior Dino oil that I've been using. And BTW,since I hit that 90,000 mile mark, those decomp weight noises I WAS getting from day one until the motor was fully warmed up, have disappeared for whatever reason and she is now runnin BETTER and QUIETER then she ever has.I am a happy camper. So I guess you guys will just have to wait til ya hit the 90,000 mile mark, then your bikes will run quieter too!! Hopefully?????????????

Actually, and as you know,it was after quite a few sets of tires until I started using the Avon AV71 on the front. That tire is wearing like iron as I'm pushing 11,000 miles and it's still got a loooooooooooong ways to go. In another 3 or 4000 miles,I be changing my currant Dunlop AE on the back ,[it's wearing on the left side] which should have some wheres around 12,000 miles on it,and putting on the rear Avon AV72 I have in stock for experimental purposes. If that AV72 wears anywheres near as well as the front AV71 has,man o man,I'll reallly be in heaven. But since I'm not too bright and a slow starter,it takes me awhile to get up to speed. But once I get there,I'm really flyin. The next 90,000 miles otta be a pleasure since I've pretty much got everything figured out now on this machine. But you watch. Some shit head will probably run me over just when I'm actually enjoying myself with a trouble free machine with high mileage tires.
