I am reading all your comments on width of the rear, and many comments seem logical.
I am wondering what about the all important FRONT rubber??
My Questions relate to:
What is the best tyre for performance V's what has lasted longest.
Radial V's Bias, as Michelin make Commander II a Bias tyre for the 19" Rim. 100/90 19" seems too thin for my liking and I wonder if the Bias built tyre will hold up under spirited cornering and loose terrain.
I would be interested to see if anyone has increased width on the front tyre and the result to cornering and improved shovelling through soft gravel.

I look like getting around 17000 from my second Metz front, which I am happy about, only got 13000 from the original and nothing has changed, pressure , riding style etc so buggered if know why the difference I have a Pirelli Night Dragon to go on next.
If my old beach buggy days are any indication, then I think the wider front (if it clears the guard etc) would make dirt riding harder, pushing more in front.
