Sean you are a star mate - organised with military precision. Great food, drink and company that even our weather couldn't spoil. Even better attendance than last year and I'm sure next year will be even bigger. Those of you that think it's too far, take a leaf from my brother's book (our token Harley attendee), he travelled from Maidstone, so no excuses!!

Was good to see him again. In fact he fitted in so well, one could have mistaken him for a TBird owner. Really nice bloke, good to have him along.

Bloody good bloke... For a Harley rider.
Hope to see Lee at the next one. The Royal Oak has promised me good weather next time.

I would like to echo the praise and thanks to Sean for a wonderfull flocking. Sorry I couldn't join the two rideouts but the meal and company on Saturday night was first class

I got to use my selection of cable ties and insulation tape, for a minor running repair to John's (sprin5t) bike on the way home when one of his led running lights tried to escape, this was then fixed properly by a friendly AA man at the next stop. The AA man had recently bought a Triumph Daytona himself!

Hope everyone got home safely and see you all again soon.

I haven't had time to edit it but here is some footage of the first section of the day 2 ride out. A rare break in the rain and some nice roads demonstrating Sean's route planning and even Big Steve's 'last man' convoy planning.

Thanks to Kev for spotting that one of my lights had fallen out of the holder, ... he was prepared (tie wraps and tools), ... but not for an a US imperial grub screw !! Then the bloody fenda extenda decided that it was also time for a ride home on the back of the bike

Seriously though without Kev, that could have been very costly, half a Motolight set is not cheap.

Having uploaded it overnight, I've just watched the video for the first time - it might be a bit boring for those not there (and probably those that were!). Perhaps worth having a look from about 10.34, as you can see everybody (that stayed on for the 2nd ride out) riding past.

Oak,
Very enjoyable watching the different scenery . Our road warning signs are reflective and are on metal poles on the side of the road, I noticed that you have
"slow " and directional arrows painted on the road. Are they hard to see at night and with a bit of drizzle ?
We have a lot of trees right up to the road , you have bloody great rock fences everywhere . Probably about the same amount of give in a big tree and the rock wall.
I was waiting for you to have a look at the speedo every now and then ......what speeds were you doing and does Plod spoil everything , as they do here ?
Great stuff fellas I thought I saw Leethal when you went to the back of the pack. Can't be two of him around

The signs painted on the road aren't ideal, particularly as half the UK's roads are one big pot hole repair. That said, the main bends are marked with roadside shevron signs. You are right about those stone walls though, particularly with the amount of wet mud on those lanes but fortunately we all got home safely and Sean really cut the speed off where they were at their worse.
Only saw one mobile speed camera and Sean had anticpated it, so we all went through at 50mph in the 50 zone ( Sean) but Derbyshire is one of the worse places in the UK for speed cameras, I don't suppose they were expecting bikes to be out last weekend!!

Rob there would only be one reason for me to be sweeper, and that would be back there looking for you, wondering if you had forgotten what the throttle was for. Actually I would enjoy being tailgunner for a change, it's easier on the old brain than being point man all the time.

Leethal,
Whilst not wishing to hijack the thread.......with your Queensland brain , maybe you should be tailgunner all the time.
We don't want you stressing that banana brain.
